Attorney Toomey graduated from Suffolk University with a Juris Doctor degree in 1986. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1986 and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1991. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Smith College in 1983.
In September of 1987, Attorney Toomey joined Ginsburg & Gaynor. She has been practicing immigration law for over 20 years and is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In addition, she has conducted immigration law seminars for paralegals. Within the firm, Attorney Toomey specializes in immigration cases involving H-1B temporary work visas, relative (husband/wife, etc.) petitions, adjustment of status applications, and handles interviews arising out of such applications. Attorney Toomey worked for Ginsburg & Gaynor from 1987 until September 2008. She started Murray & Toomey, LLP along with Attorney Sheri Murray in October 2008.
